Paul Greeff - Senior Psychologist

Paul Greeff

Paul holds a Master’s degree in Psychology and has 18 years of experience in the private sector, training, health, organisational settings, and tertiary education. He brings excellent training skills, a wide range of life experience, deep understanding, and a great sense of humour to his sessions.

He gives a warm welcome to adults, young adults over 16, and couples.

He has always worked with a diverse population and is able to establish immediate rapport and strong therapeutic relationships with people from all walks of life, cultures, and backgrounds. He understands a wide range of individuals and accepts people for who they are. He is warm, highly relatable, and approachable. His pragmatic and logical problem-solving style, combined with his realistic, goal-oriented processes, helps empower individuals. He consistently works with clients to establish their goals and clarify what they hope to achieve through therapy. His therapeutic foundation is based on the belief that individuals are responsible for their actions and behaviours, as these arise from the choices they make. This philosophy is reflected in his preferred therapeutic approach: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

Paul’s extensive work in private hospital and psychiatric settings has fostered a strong passion for treating Trauma/PTSD, Grief and Bereavement, Anxiety, and Depression. He remains actively engaged in clinical practice and regularly evaluates both his work and the level of symptom relief his clients experience. He has also worked with cancer patients and individuals with a wide range of diagnoses.

He offers couples counselling through an integrative approach that blends the Gottman Method as a theoretical foundation with the deep emotional work of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). His focus is on helping partners understand the patterns underlying their relationship conflicts, resentments, and disconnection, and on developing new ways to navigate both solvable and perpetual problems. He supports couples in transforming unproductive cycles into opportunities for growth. Together, he and the couple build practical skills for effective communication, emotional attunement, and trust, while reigniting connection, intimacy, and resilience in the relationship.

Paul is committed to disarming conflict; increasing intimacy, respect, and affection; removing barriers that contribute to stagnation; and fostering heightened empathy and understanding within the relationship.

We understand that journeys are travelled better together. No issue is too big or too small. Whether it’s a series of sessions to deal with a complex problem or a single session to address a specific concern, we’re here to listen and help.
